In this intermediate-level workshop, you’ll take your bonsai skills to the next stage with step-by-step guidance on advanced styling and wiring techniques. You’ll work with a larger juniper tree and learn how to refine your tree’s structure for a more professional, balanced look.
This hands-on session will focus on branch selection, wiring, and shaping to achieve a harmonious design. While prior bonsai experience is recommended, our instructors Nicolas and Kseniia will provide personalized support in a relaxed, creative environment, ensuring you feel confident in your skills by the end of the workshop.
You’ll leave with a beautifully styled bonsai and practical tips for ongoing care and seasonal maintenance to keep your tree thriving.

You can easily reserve your spot by selecting your preferred date and completing the registration online. Spaces are limited, so we recommend booking early to secure your spot.
Due to limited availability (only 6 spaces), we encourage participants to register as early as possible. Workshops can fill up quickly, so booking ahead ensures you don’t miss out.
Since the workshop is designed for hands-on participation and space is limited, only registered participants can attend.
Yes! We have plenty of free parking available at our Bonsai Ottawa shop, located at 2784 Lancaster Rd, for your convenience.
All necessary supplies are provided, including a 4+ year old juniper tree, a handmade ceramic bonsai pot with a tray, bonsai soil, drainage stones, decorative stones and rocks, drainage nets, pot wire, training wire, and a Juniper instruction card.
No prior experience is required for this particular workshop, as it is designed for beginners. Our instructors will guide you through each step of the process. However, if you're looking for more advanced techniques, we also offer specialized workshops for more experienced bonsai enthusiasts.
Yes! Our shop will be open during the workshop, and you'll have the opportunity to purchase additional bonsai tools, pots, and other supplies.

Yes, absolutely! We offer private group workshops both on-site at our shop and off-site. Please fill out the contact form below, and we’ll be happy to organize something special for you.
Yes, we can accommodate upgrades. Simply let us know in advance if you'd like to choose a larger tree or a different variety, and we’ll make the necessary arrangements. You’ll only need to pay the price difference. If you find another tree you prefer on the day of the workshop, we’ll do our best to accommodate any changes on the spot.
