'Blue Star' juniper is an attractive evergreen featuring sparkling silver-blue foliage on dense, spreading branches with a
compact dwarf growth habit. Reaching a maximum height of 3 feet this species of juniper is a slow horizontal spreader. Typically they do not have much of a tap root and makes perfect bonsai material. A fun fact is this species of Juniper has received the "Award of Garden Merit" from the Royal Horticulture Society for its characteristics.
This species of Juniper is incredibly hardy and can take a variety of conditions. It does best in full sun and needs a well-draining soil as soils that hold to much moisture will easily rot the root system. This juniper must be kept outdoors for a majority of the year.
