Juniperus Sabina 'Monna', more commonly referred to as Spreading Calgary Carpet Juniper was introduced in 1978 in Connecticut from the Monrovia Nursery. This is a small, spreading evergreen shrub, growing to a max height of 10" spreading to 6-10 feet wide. The foliage is very Lucious and an attractive green color. Commonly used to prevent erosion.
This is an incredibly hardy species of Juniper and is great for beginners. Does best in full sun, you may notice less dense foliage in lower light conditions. Can tolerate heat, cold and small droughts, making it an excellent choice for your first tree. The branches are soft and pliable, making wiring a breeze.
